  I'm a new customer with this company. So far things have been just OK. They're not exactly free with information so I had to call them. Even though I have hearing problems, I did receive some satisfaction by telephone. I'm trying to find a way to set up an account with them online but find their web page to be very unhelpful. Moreover, I find no way to contact them by email UNLESS it's referring their business to someone. That I won't do until I receive much more satisfaction from them. I could try calling again but my hearing problems make that too much of a frustrating chore. From the few posts I've read so far, I guess I can consider myself to be very lucky; some of the reviews are downright scary. I hope someone at that company reads these reviews. Then maybe they'll try to help me in connection with the property located in the Tampa, FL, area.

  The MOST HORRENDOUS mortgage company to deal with. We've been waiting on funds that are in an escrow account to pay off contractors for over 2 months and counting. I've tried speaking to a manager 3 times only to be forwarded to a voicemail. This place is a joke that will sit on your money, lie to you daily, and push you to your limits. This place doesn't deserve one star. Every lousy rating, every rant and rave, every bit of awful is what this place is. Run. Grab your money and run. As fast and as far away as possible.

  My mortgage was serviced by this company for 5 years. I never had a single problem with them. Their online portal, while very simple gives you real-time access to your mortgage balance, payment due, and offers the ability to pay your mortgage online through the portal. They also offer the ability to send secure message which always gets answered within a few days. They never once messed up a payment of mine. I only received one notice from them claiming they could not verify I had homeowners insurance, and provided instructions on how to submit the proof. I provided the proof by the deadline they gave and never heard anything about it after that. Overall, a simple company that operates just fine. Sure, their website may not have all the flashy bells and whistles of say BOA or Wells Fargo, but its provides exactly what you need and is always accurate. Overall, a pleasant experience.

  I have several mortgages with Dovenmuehle and generally it is not a good experience. Today (9/22) is a good example: I was on the phone with customer service about the notice I got about expired homeowner's insurance. In my hand, I have a copy of the insurance certificate that my insurance company sent directly to Dovenmuehle (both USPS and electronically to the specific rep) on 8/11. It is annoying to have to straighten this out twice, but I can endure that. What prompted me to write this negative response is that the rep just hung up on me. Now I have to call back and go through the auto-dial system again. This kind of customer service elevates the motivation people have to say bad things about companies. Therefore, I give Dovenmuehle a low rating.
